3 most news worthy events in my life time

9/11- I was sitting in my third grade class and my teacher Mrs. Gump had just found out what happened. My friend Chelsea was sitting right next to me and we could hear a couple of teachers crying in the hallway. I was really nervous because my mom was in New York at the time and I didn't know where so I thought she could have been near the twin towers. 


Hurricane Katrina- I think I was at home when I found out about Katrina but I remember that week my 7th grade science class started to write letters and collect teddy bears to send to the victims of Katrina. I think I remember this because it effected so many people and i was old enough to understand how it effected people. 


Obama being elected President- It was the first time we had a black President. I don't think I could ever forget that. We were all watching it at school when it happened. 


3 most worthy that my dad said: 

U.S beating the Russians in hockey- he was at a walgreens watching the game on a T.V screen while his mom was walking around shopping because she wouldn't let him stay home alone. 

Flood of 93- he was driving down the highway as the water started to come over the road. When he left for work there was no water and when he was on his way home there was 10ft.

OJ chase- he was in Charleston, South Caroline and was getting ready to go to a baseball game for a work event.  He was sitting in his hotel room watching it. Completely shocked.
